Arrested men had ‘swallowed 5 kilos of hashish’

THREE men who were arrested on the motorway near Estepona were found to have swallowed more than five kilos of hashish between them.

The Moroccan suspects, aged 26, 33 and 34, were taken to the Costa del Sol hospital after policemen noticed a strange smell and found 19 pellets of hashish in their vehicle.

Between them, the men, who have been sent to jail to await trial, had swallowed a total of 509 buds of hashish, allegedly to avoid detection during transport.
