HUERCAL OVERA will soon have new facilities at the town’s football ground.

The project involves the construction of brand new offices and a meeting room. It takes advantage of an unused area and will provide a new service area for athletes and residents. Mayor of the town, Domingo Fernandez, the councillor for Sports, Alonso Mena, and Salvador Parra, president of the football club at Huercal Overa, announced the project on site, which came in response to requests from residents.

Fernandez said: “Through this project, we will have facilities where club members can meet and we can attend to the needs of the parents of the student athletes in a suitable place. To date there have been no facilities or offices at the club. The new project has been agreed with the football club and work begins in the coming weeks.”

The construction will be carried out at the town’s Campo de Futbol de El Hornillo.
