THE total expenditure of international tourists who visit the Balearic Islands has increased by 5.7 per cent in January, compared to the same month in 2013.
A total of €101 million has been spent by these tourists in the first month of this year, according to the information provided by the Industry, Energy and Tourism Department.
The staggering increase in the flow of tourists in the Balearic Islands (20.9 per cent) balanced the decrease in average spending per person (-12.5 per cent), resulting in the growth of the total expenditure by 5.7 per cent.
