FOLLOWING a difficult week weather-wise in Northern Spain, which caused travel problems and alerts, the AEMET State Weather office has announced a spring-like weekend for most of the country.
Although windy conditions are likely to remain, temperatures are expected to increase in the northern parts of the mainland and maintain their current spring-like levels in the south, with average temperatures of 20ºC forecast for the Costas.
The only area where rain is looking likely is in the north, with occasional showers forecast and Galicia expected to see heavier rain on Sunday.
The beginning of next week is expected to continue with warmer days and nights before a new front comes in from the north towards the end of the week.
