As Formula 1 pre-season testing drew to an end in Barcelona, recuperating Fernando Alonso
Can do nothing more than sit at home in his comfy chair and watch the results coming in.
After his release from hospital last week, his doctors told him to relax at home and maybe watch some TV.
What he really wouldn’t have wanted to see, were the fastest lap timings of the weekend being set by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg on Sunday’s final day.
With the delighted Mercedes team dominating the Circuit de Catalunya and running times faster than both Williams and Honda, could it be that the Mercedes Sunday benchmark is setting the scene for the whole year? Or should Vettel, Massa, and Ricciardo all be looking to buy new comfy chairs as well?
