Venta el Guarducha: quality and service

VENTA EL GUARDUCHA had been kept a secret by those local to the Albox area, fiercely guarding this gem of a restaurant for fear of the hordes that would gather if they all heard.

But the secret is now out and already this friendly venue is gaining more fans by the day. The restaurant seamlessly blends a large and airy dining area and terrace with a cosy bar.

The premises are spotlessly clean and the customer service is of an excellent standard. It is the perfect place for celebrations and special events, with plenty of seating for everyone indoors and out. But it has personality in bundles making it equally as ideal for a quiet place for an intimate meal for two.

The restaurant is extremely family friendly, and all staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks available. Quality meats cooked over firewood are on the menu, full of flavour and cooked just how you like them. Special mention must be made of the tapas menu, especially the deep fried anchovies which are excellent. There is a great menu choice with a menu del dia and a la carte options in addition to the wide selection of hot and cold tapas.

The portions are hearty, especially the Sunday lunches which we highly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The owner Pedro is very proud of his restaurant and makes a special effort to spend quality time with his customers. Pedro speaks five languages, switching easily between them in order to make everyone feel at home. His command of the English language is superb, which is reassuring to those who haven’t quite mastered Spanish yet.

Venta el Guarducha is open from 9am until 10pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am until midnight at weekends and on fiesta days.
