DOG owners in Nerja have discovered sausages laced with nails in the garden area in front of Hotel Perla Marina (Calle Merida).
Round-head, large nails were found in dog food such as sausages or pâté.
A resident of this area, Luis M. Martinez, presented a formal complaint at the Local Police station on March 4, after another neighbour claimed that her dog had eaten the dangerous sausages, which had forced the animal to vomit.
In addition, local Animal Clinic San Ferando has confirmed to online site Infonerja that professionals at the clinic had to provide assistance to other dogs for the same reasons.
