WORK has just begun on the Boulevard Pescaderia in Almeria City with a budget of €120,000.
The restoration work involves cleaning one end of the street, removing rubbish and debris. There are also schedules set to renew the greenery along the entire stretch.
The reforestation of the area will be using elements and species of flora already present in the area. A number of stone walls are being constructed to encase the greenery and to keep it secure.
According to Almeria City Council, the work is expected to last eight weeks. It comes as part of an aesthetics initiative to establish parks, cycle lanes, paving and leisure spaces around the city’s core.
