Fuengirola children get a feel for competitive sports

MORE than 1,500 children from 20 different municipal sports schools in the Fuengirola area are taking part in the Municipal Sports Games this season.

Fuengirola’s Sports councillor, Pedro Cuevas, explained: “The municipal sports schools are reaching the end of the season and we hold the games to allow the kids to have fun and get a feel for competitions.”  

The games, which began in February and will run until the end of April, include a wide variety of sports including paddle tennis, swimming, sailing, volleyball, hockey, handball, table tennis, karate, squash, skating, fencing, aikido, kid’s sport, football, athletics, gymnastics, judo, basketball and tennis.
