A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has suffered severe injuries after he was run over by a car in front of Palma’s Mallorca Cathedral.
The incident took place at around 10pm on Wednesday (March 11), when the young man was crossing the road Ma-19, known as Autopista de Levante, in front of the Par de la Mar.
He was taken immediately to the Son Espases hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
An emergency team contacted his parents and are providing them with psychological treatment.
It was thought that perhaps the boy was walking on a zebra crossing but the traffic light might have been red while he was doing so.
