PATIENTS with kidney conditions in Inca will benefit from the new measure announced to extend hours of haemodialysis.
The nephrology department of the regional hospital of Inca will increase its attendance capacity by 33 per cent, offering services from Monday to Saturday, between 8am and 8pm.
The statement released by the health department of the Balearic Islands explains that this extension was possible thanks to the recruitment of a new kidney doctor, two nurses and one nursing assistant.
It is estimated that the hospital will be able to give service to 40 patients, 10 more than before.
Last year, 5,343 sessions of haemodialysis were carried out, 192 more than in 2013.
