A FAMILY in mourning is considering suing the Andalucian Health Service after an 82-year-old relative died after being sent home twice from A&E.

Francisca was sent home twice from the A&E departments of two different Malaga City hospitals with an alleged stomach bug, which four days later was found to be intestinal ischemia, a life-threatening lack of blood flow to the intestines.

The elderly woman, who had started feeling ill while on a walk with her husband Emilio, died four and a half days after the first ambulance took her to hospital.

The family is thinking of suing the Andalucian Health Service as they believe if tests had been done immediately Francisca could still be alive today.
