FOUR recycled water hydrants will be installed in Benidorm for street cleaning and irrigating parks and gardens.
This water will also be available for private use, explained Pepe Marcet, the councillor responsible for Benidorm’s water. The hydrants should eventually bring annual savings of up to 30,000 cubic metres in the domestic supply.
The recycled water has been used experimentally on municipal gardens and streets for a year with “optimum results,” he revealed.
