HIKING enthusiasts are in luck as they will be able to enjoy a route organised by Almuñecar’s municipal sports department.
The itinerary will cover the distance between the Velillos River and Olivares and is suitable for those who do not have extensive experience on hiking but would like to get introduced to this sports practice as the difficulty level is low.
The event will take place on Sunday (March 22), and will be coordinated by Enrique Garin and Francisco Novo, who will guide the participants.
“It will be an amazing route, short in distance and length, going downhill a great part of the time and with many sightseeing attractions for hikers. We will visit Moclin, its castle and cave paintings, as well as the Velillos river and windmills,” said Mr Garin.
Departure will take place at 7.30am from the town’s bus station and the route is expected to last around five hours.
Those interested in participating can request more information and register at the Municipal Sports Centre ‘Francisco Bonet’ and by calling 958 883 142.
