The Gibraltar Government is considering expansion plans in order to attract the growing business in super yachts, boats that are officially seagoing vessels of at least 18 metres in length.
Gibraltar’s location at the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean means it is well placed to attract an industry that has been growing substantially over the past few years.
The £15 million project would see new space for up to 10 super yachts to dock. In addition to the marina expansion, developers Ocean Village have stated that 126 short-stay rental apartments would be built as part of the marina expansion.
