Lodge hosts wine and bowls charity events

THE Lodge of Unity held a charity fundraising wine tasting at the Hotel Tikar in Garrucha.

Approximately 40 people attended, trying wine from a local bodega and raising €268 for the Lodge’s charity fund.

The Lodge has also announced its annual charity bowls day at Almeria Bowling Club, Miraflores, Los Gallardos. The Lodge expects more than 60 bowlers and guests for a barbecue, entertainment from John Lodge, a raffle and fundraising games throughout the afternoon. Events begin at 9.45am on Saturday May 9.

The member cost is €15 per head which includes the game, hot dog, barbecue and a dessert. Non-bowling guest tickets cost €10.

Everyone is welcome to attend and support the Masonic charities, whether bowling or not. The Lodge recommends booking early to avoid disappointment and to allow prior planning at the venue.
