THE Automatic Post Sorting Office (CTA) of Palma de Mallorca has been awarded the National Prize for Environmental Commitment.
This award given by CORREOS (the national postal service of Spain) honours the centre for being the one that contributed most to reducing the company’s environmental and ecological impact.
In addition, the award seeks to promote initiatives that raise awareness amongst CORREOS’s staff about the actions that they can launch at their workplace to reduce consumption and protect the environment.
In the choosing of the recipient of this award, several factors were considered, for instance, the energy consumption of the previous year, the measures taken to optimise lighting around the facilities and the reduction of paper usage, amongst others.
