SPANISH Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy will be opening Malaga City’s new Centro Pompidou museum on March 28.
The centre, the first the prestigious contemporary art museum in Paris is opening outside France, will be opened by the PM and French Culture Minister Fleur Pellerin.
An agreement between Malaga Council and the French institution means permanent and temporary displays will be held at the ‘Cube’ building in the city for at least five years.
Works in the permanent displays will include pieces by Picasso, Frida Khalo, Rene Magritte and Alberto Giacometti. Temporary displays, including one of work by Miro, are due to start in May.
