Two missing Spanish tourists found unharmed in Tunisia

TWO Spanish citizens who were feared killed in the Tunisian terrorist attack after they failed to return to their cruise ship last night have been found unharmed.

In a statement given today, the Spanish Deputy Prime Minister, Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, confirmed that newly married couple, Cristina Rubio and Juan Carlos Sanchez, were safe and well. 

The couple come from a town close to Valencia. Concern was raised over the fate of the holidaymakers when they didn’t return to their cruise ship, which was docked in Tunis.

Passengers from a second cruise ship docked in the city reportedly remain unaccounted for today.

The Tunisian Prime Minister has also announced the names of the terrorists who were killed yesterday at the Bardo Museum as Yassine Abiidi and Hatem Khachnaoui. No terrorist organisation has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks and it was unknown if the terrorists were part of a larger organisation.

Nine more suspects are reportedly being detained for questioning by the police and armed troops have now been deployed across Tunis, the country’s capital.
