THE ‘Weekend Play,’ an event to promote video games and young people’s interests, will be held in Rincon de la Victoria on April 4 and 5.
More than 1,000 young people from across the Axarquia and other regions are to attend this popular event, which will be hosted in the municipal pavilion Ruben Ruzafa of Torre de Benagalbon.
News was announced by councillor for Youth, Borja Ortiz, who unveiled a great number of leisure activities specially targeted at young residents.
During the two-day event, visitors will be able to play games like League of Legends or Call of Duty, amongst others.
There will also be board games, exhibitions of comics, live music and several tournaments to entertain the whole family, as well as an information stand to raise awareness amongst young people on the responsible use of videogames.
“We want to attract the largest number of people possible and make Rincon de la Victoria a town where alternative leisure options and youth participation are promoted,” said Mr Ortiz.
Tickets for the ‘Weekend Play’ will have a price of €3 for one day and €5 for two days. It will take place between 11am and 8pm.
