Mr Ruiz Espejo explained that the Velez-Malaga homes that would benefit from these renovations were located in the districts of Pueblo Nuevo de la Axarquia, Cuesta del Visillo and Primavera-Verano.
In total, 743 homes in Malaga Province will be renovated at a total cost of €1.3 million in project that is aimed at improving common areas of the buildings (façades, sewage systems, cladding, etc) as well as some elements of the homes’ interior.
“We intend the work to begin by the second half of this year and expect it to be completed by the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016, with an average completion period of four months,” said Mr Ruiz Espejo, who added that the Junta’s main goal was to improve the quality of life of the properties’ inhabitants and boost the construction and home improvements sector.
