Mojacar's multinational seniors take a trip to Valencia

CLUB MACENAS: Association president Luisa Flores with husband Cristobal in Valencia.

FIFTY-THREE Club Macenas Mojacar seniors visited the Valencia coast recently.

The multinational party with members from the UK, Holland, France, Germany and South Africa as well as Spain stayed the night in Gandia, also visiting the inland town of Xativa and Valencia City.

It was great to the broad mix of nationalities together, socialising and appreciating the places they visited, new members said.

Club Macenas Mojacar – known as “Los Pensionistas” – is a thriving multinational group. It is open to seniors over 60 who are registered on the Mojacar padron although a member’s younger partner is also eligible.

Membership costs €12 a year per person but thanks to town hall subsidies, the club offers many benefits including free recreational and fitness activities, excursions, lunches and social evenings with live music.

Readers wishing to join should take their padron and personal details to the office in the basement of the Centro de Usos Multiples (also called the Artisan Centre) between 5pm and 7pm on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
