THE Ministry of the Environment will spend €1.2 million on Costa del Sol and Malaga Province beaches this year.
Work has started this week to add sand to beaches in La Cala de Mijas and Marbella, considered to have been affected the most by storms over the winter, and should be ready by Easter.
Malaga City, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Estepona beaches will also receive work before the summer to ensure the province’s beaches are in top condition for the holiday period.
