TOP international photographers Daniele Duella and Iango Henzi are annoyed with Torremolinos Council for using, and altering, one of their pictures without permission.
The poster, which was created to advertise a local fashion sale on bus shelters and the council’s website, showed a picture of a model in black and white on a pink background, which Duella’s assistant confirmed belonged to the two photographers.
The council immediately ordered that the posters were removed and replaced with others without the offending image, but it remains to be seen whether the European photographers, known for their work for Vogue and i-D magazines, will take the matter further and sue the council and the company that created the design.
Apart from the fact that the photo was used without permission, the photographer’s assistant explained that in the original the model posed topless, yet the poster makers had added a black top.
