La Rabita, Albuñol.
TWO men from Adra in Almeria have been arrested by the Guardia Civil for allegedly faking two robberies in a bar they owned in La Rabita, in Albuñol.
The arrested men, a 40 and a 44-year-old, told police in December 2014 that someone had broken into their bar in Costa Tropical and had stolen several professional speakers, as well as the takings of slot machines, which amounted to more than €3,000.
After that, in February, both issued a complaint claiming that another robbery had taken place. The suspects said that the thieves had taken alcoholic beverages, a complete sound system and a laptop, valued at a total of €9,800.
However, Guardia Civil officers started an investigation, which found that the entrance of the bar had been broken from the inside of the property.
Both men have been charged with two crimes for theft, two crimes for theft forgery and one for fraud.
