CREVILLENT EYESORE: Four blocks are to be demolished.
FOUR blocks of flats that comprise 98 homes in an estate in the northern area of Crevillent are to be demolished.
The abandoned buildings have been a source of aggravation for local residents for some years as they attract rats. There are also problems with security as the premises are often targeted by intruders.
The council has fought a losing battle with litter and various infestations in the buildings and surrounding area so now demolition papers are being prepared, after which the contract to pull the blocks down will be offered for tender.
