A VUELING flight covering the Barcelona-Munich route returned to Barcelona on the morning of March 26 and made an emergency landing after the pilot smelled smoke.
The airline explained that flight VLGH1812, which had taken off from El Prat airport at 6.55am, returned as a routine precaution as the pilot reported he could smell smoke.
The plane landed back in Barcelona and 137 passengers were boarded on another aircraft, which finally took off at 9.40am, Vueling declared, although 12 passengers decided not to board the second plane.
