THE GOB (Ornithological Group of the Balearic Islands) has denounced the discharge of toxic waste in a protected space of the La Victoria Mountain (Alcudia).
In a statement, the ecological group explained that the toxic load had been discharged in a rustic protected place of a shooting range for a long time and requested the decontamination of the land as well as a search for the culprits.
Objects such as shooting plates, cartridges, shotguns, lead ammunition which, according to the GOB, “can produce great environmental impact due to its high toxicity” were found.
“This waste should be deposited in a treatment plant by law,” continued the statement.
