A SUSPECTED serial murderer that kept Costa police on their toes in the summer of 2011 may face 63 years in jail.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has accused 46-year-old German man Abdelkader S. of brutally killing three women in Mijas and San Pedro.
The prosecution believes that the man killed the three, two in Mijas and one in San Pedro de Alcantara, after contacting them by telephone to arrange appointments for massages and other services and later stole belongings and tried to use their credit cards to withdraw cash.
The prosecutor has requested a total of 63 years in jail for various crimes including one of murder and two of manslaughter and also a total of €240,000 in damages for the families of the three deceased.
Meanwhile the defence, lead by lawyer Lucinia Llanos, has requested the man be absolved. Although at first he admitted to two of the three crimes, he later denied them before a judge and claimed that the police had forced him to make a false confession.
The accused did admit to using the first victim’s credit cards, but said that a person called Libio gave them to him to withdraw cash in exchange for commission.
