MARIHUANA: Police discover professional operation growing the drug.
A MARIHUANA plantation discovered by police in Torrellano a few weeks ago has now been described as more than just a small operation, with facilities so advanced police say it was a professional production line with plants at different stages of growth, with all the technical means to achieve maximum production.
The National Police seized from greenhouses around 4,600 marihuana plants, half of which were ready for cutting and pre-drying for drug distribution.
Five men were arrested during the investigation, which was launched after a strong odour was reported coming from some old greenhouses in the rural area of Torrellano.
Investigations are ongoing and police are still looking for the main leader of the organisation.
