ASSOCIATIONS for animal rights have denounced the death of eight cats and several porcupines in the area of Cala Pi, Llucmajor.
They suspect that the animals could have been poisoned by someone, as most of them had been sterilised a few days before by a mobile unit of the Balearic Platform for Animals Defence.
Representatives of the associations are concerned for the safety of the area’s animals and have informed the town council as well as the SEPRONA (Guardia Civil environment protection unit).
