SPAIN’S Guardia Civil have arrested four members of a family, including two boys aged 16, who are accused of trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group.
The parents and their twin sons were apparently trying to send their sons to Syria via Morocco and Turkey. Both of the boys had allegedly dropped out of the school they attended close to Barcelona, and were being purposely radicalised with the full knowledge of their mother.
A raid was carried out by the Guardia Civil this morning in the Llefia neighbourhood of Badalona and the suspects, whose names haven’t yet been released, have now been taken to the High Court.
This is fourth anti-jihadist raid carried out this year by Spanish police.
