A MAN accused of making and placing an explosive device in a toilet of the Son Espases hospital in Palma de Mallorca is on trial at Palma Court.
The incident occurred in February of 2013, when the accused, who then worked as a security guard of the hospital, allegedly placed an explosive device made with a plastic bottle and several domestic chemicals in the toilet of the emergency room.
Even though the explosion was of low intensity and caused minor damage, the prosecutor’s office has requested a sentence of six years in prison.
