FLOODING problems in the area of Rambla Hileros in Castell de Ferro are to be fixed by renovation work currently taking place on the sewage system.
President of the Commonwealth of Costa Tropical municipalities, Jose Garcia Fuentes, and mayor of Gualchos-Castell de Ferro, Eloy Martin Cabrera, visited the site to check on the work’s progress.
“This is a major series of renovations that will cover the replacement of the whole sewage system with another network with higher capacity and better safety and quality guarantees,” said Mr Garcia Fuentes.
“It was a historical demand from many residents of Castell, who have lived in a chaotic situation due to the flooding problems that have traditionally affected this area,” continued the mayor.
