SPANISH Olympic swimmer Gemma Mengual will be taking part in a women-only Greenpeace expedition to the Arctic Circle.
Greenpeace aims to raise awareness of the need to protect the area with this expedition, which is to take place on April 8-13.
Just six women will be making the trip: Mengual, actress Elena Anaya, a Greenpeace scientist and expert in endangered ecosystems, an international journalist, and two Laplander women – a reindeer herder and a singer.
