Costa airport flies out of the red

MALAGA-Costa del Sol airport had such a good 2014 that it got accounts out of the red and made the Top 10 earners list for Aena-run airports.

Aena management company reported that the Costa airport closed accounts for the period with approximately €18 million in profits before tax, whereas in 2013 it closed €7 million in the red.

A record 13.7 million passengers, a 6.4 per cent increase, along with the launch of new commercial areas and new energy-saving and efficiency policies are believed by the management to be behind the profit boost.
