A MECHANICAL fault caused 639 passengers on the AVE high-speed train from Malaga to Madrid to be stuck for hours in the middle of nowhere.
The train, which left Malaga at 6.10pm yesterday, April 6, ground to a halt in the countryside between Adamuz and Villanueva de Cordoba at approximately 7.30pm and passengers posted complaints on Twitter that they were stuck in the dark.
The train’s two carriages were finally separated after 9pm, allowing the first half to continue on its way to Madrid while passengers from the second carriage had to wait for another empty train to arrive and collect them.
