THE Regional Government’s Innovation Department plans to spend €235,000 to expand the wifi network to areas where internet access is difficult, such as beaches.

The busiest coastal areas will be prioritised, for instance, Magaluf, Cala Millor, Cala Bona, Playa d’en Repic and Alcudia Port.

“With this initiative we aim to provide rural and tourist areas with a faster internet connection,” said head of the department, Antoni Mateo.
