Mysterious ‘Golden painter’ could face a fine

THE ‘urban artist’ who has been painting pieces of street furniture gold in Rincon de la Victoria could face a fine of up to €3,000.

A representative of the council explained that, if the person behind the ‘makeovers’ is found, and sanctioned, the fine could range between €1,501 and €3,000, as these ‘unauthorised pieces’ are considered a ‘very serious offence,’ according to the municipal laws.

If the artist does not stop or does not identify him or herself to Local Police, who began investigating three weeks ago, the consequences could be more serious than expected.
