Council explains postal vote system

EXPATRIATES who registered to vote in the May 24 municipal elections and wish to do so by post have until May 20 to do so.

The service can be requested at any Correos post office until May 14 by filling in an application form and presenting correct ID. The paperwork will then be sent to the voter’s home by post between May 4 and 17 and must be returned by May 20.

Fuengirola’s Foreign Residents’ Councillor Katja Westerdahl explained the process and said that approximately 20,000 expatriates registered in the town were eligible to vote in the up-coming elections.
