SPANISH, French and German diplomats placed flowers at Barcelona-El Prat Airport this morning (April 13) to honour the victims of the Germanwings flight that crashed in the Alps on March 24.
The Spanish government announced that prior to an informal southern EU meeting to be held this morning at the Pedralbes Palace, foreign affairs ministers Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo (Spain), Laurent Fabius (France) and Frank-Walter Steinmeier (Germany) would travel to the airport to personally pay their respects to the victims of the tragedy.
Flowers were laid at Joan Miro’s Mosaic at the T2 terminal of the Barcelona airport, from where the flight departed on its final trip.
