THE Met Office has forecast that much of Britain will be hotter than Spain this week as temperatures hit 25C.
Apparently summer is coming early in the south, although northern England and Scotland will be cool and wet. But even in the rain, temperatures are on the rise.
The forecasters tell us today will see highs of around 17C but the mercury will rise over the coming days until it is more than double the April average, feeling very much like summer.
Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day of the year so far, but forecasters have warned of a ‘north-south divide’ between warm and sunny, and cool and wet.
Meanwhile the forecast for southern and central Spain tells us Alicante is expected to be 22C, and Madrid 18C on Wednesday.
