FOLLOWING the official opening of Parque Syalis in Los Pacos, Fuengirola can now boast 38 parks and leisure areas.
The new park, opposite Syalis school, covers an area of 3,000 square metres and includes exercise equipment, a children’s playground and extensive paths and lawns.
Local mayor Ana Mula appealed to citizens to make good use of the park and help keep it in good condition during a visit to the area.
“All that’s needed is for everyone to obey the rules so we can all enjoy these areas,” Mula stressed.
The mayor explained that the park had served a double purpose as along with providing local residents with a new place to spend time outdoors, it also provided work for 17 people while under construction.
