Orba Warblers Golf

THIS week the Warblers visited the picturesque course of La Galiana. Bathed in sunshine but influenced by a cold gusty wind, the course was in excellent condition with its customary difficult greens.

One by one the players returned to the club after their round, beaten by the wind and tortured by the course. 

A couple of our members, however, held their own with one guy in particular ripping up the course with a fantastic 39 points, this week’s winner, Chris Fields. In second place was John Daniels with 35 points.

In third place was Jim Rodgers with 33 points, and fourth place went to Sylvia Mortensen with 31 points. Sylvia also nailed the difficult par three 16, winning the Nearest the Pin. Sly also made her birdie and took home a coveted Warbler ball. Finally, in fifth place Steve Smith with 29 points.
