Nasty scare for Mijas Costa driver

FIREMEN had to rescue a driver this morning (April 16) after his car overturned on a motorway in Mijas Costa.

The accident occurred at about 10am opposite Club La Costa near El Faro on the A7 motorway towards Malaga.

The rescued driver and two other people, believed to be a pregnant woman and a child, were taken to the Costa del Sol hospital for treatment.

Although tailbacks of six kilometres were caused as emergency services worked to remove the vehicles, both lanes were re-opened before noon allowing normal, if slow, traffic to resume.
