TAXIS in Nerja have implemented the use of taximeters to comply with the Junta de Andalucia regional government regulations.
Taxis originally had a fixed price for many of the routes in Nerja, but now the regional government has decided to unify all fares across Andalucia.
The newly passed measure has necessitated €1,000 expenditure and will translate into a decrease in prices.
The minimum fare, which was €5 before, has fallen to €4.60. However, other routes will be slightly more expensive, with an increase estimated to be around €0.10.
