British pensioner found stabbed in street

A BRITISH man has been found lying in a pool of blood on Avenida Baracaldo in San Luis, Torrevieja.

Emergency services were called to the scene following reports that the man had seven stab wounds to his chest and one in his stomach. He has been admitted to the intensive care unit at Torrevieja Hospital.

Residents in the area were unaware of the incident despite it occurring at 11am in broad daylight on a busy street. Police have launched an investigation.
