REPAIR work has begun on Salobreña’s seafront to fix the damage done by strong winds and rains.
Plans also include the pedestrianisation of the stretch between the Salomar 2000 residential complex to the end of the seafront road, so vehicles will no longer be able to circulate or park around this area. In total, 120 parking spaces will be eliminated.
Work is expected to be completed by June, so visitors can enjoy the beach areas without disturbance.
The Central Government has allocated €302,000 to the repairs, which will also include the creation of two small roundabouts to connect with the Avenida Andalucia.
