Locals asked to be vigilant as robbers target San Luis properties

A SPATE of burglaries has been reported on San Luis Lakeside in the past couple of weeks, with five occurring in just one night.

All the properties were unoccupied at the time with the owners being away. Rita Huntley, president of the San Luis Neighbourhood Watch, said: “One property I know, the thieves could not get into the house but they did manage to get into the shed and stole all the tools.”

Residents in the area are asked to be vigilant and to make note of anyone who appears to be out of place. Taking the licence plate numbers of any suspicious vehicles is always a good idea and could help police with any investigations.
