MIJAS visitors are now able to discover the village’s attractions in six languages via a new, multimedia guide created by the local tourist office.
The audiovisual guides also detail beaches, golf courses and walking routes and can be used in Spanish, English, German, French, Dutch and Japanese.
Installed on 24 electronic tablet devices, the new guides will alert carriers when they pass places of interest and offer relevant information.
The tablets can be borrowed from the tourist office, or smartphone users can download the free-to-use application at a wifi hotspot at the office.
